March 27, 2019 – My mistress has birthday today and we went sightseeing again.

Image
My humans slept in today, as it was my mistress’s birthday. For breakfast they went to iHop next door and of course I went with them. As my mistress was a member in My iHop she got free pancakes. Can you imagine – I did get NOTHING for breakfast, not even a small bite? This is not fair. After having breakfast my humans went to the German Bread Bakery. They bought some Laugenbroetchen, which are Pretzel Rolls and a loaf of bread. I don’t like bread; it does not have much of a taste but my humans like it. Next stop was the Las Vegas Outlet North, as my humans needed some summer clothes. They say the t-shirts and pants they have are a couple of years old and look worn out. There were a lot of people in the Outlet. My humans only went to two stores and I am very happy with that. They had a coffee at Starbucks and I got some ice cubes. My humans carry a backpack with my bowl and a thermos with ice cubes as well as treats for me. This way they make sure I drink enough and don’t get hydrat

March 23, 2019 – Visiting my favorite dog park

Image
My humans decided to take me to my favorite dog park again. It’s a little further away than the other one but the Francier’s Dog Park is my absolute favorite because there is that huge grass area. The weather was great, the sun was shining and it was nice and warm, not too warm though. When we arrived there weren’t too many cars there – so not too many dogs which I like. The first dogs I met were two Huskies. One of them was a 14-year old Siberian Wooly Husky. What a beautiful dog. The other one was a Samoyed Mix. My humans took me to the big grassy area. There were a couple of dogs, most of them about my size. Another Husky was there too, a puppy, only 4 months old. He wanted to play with me but I had to run around and read the latest news. This is a huge area so that takes a while. When I was done I played with the puppy and some other dogs. It was so much fun and I enjoyed it very much. My humans took the harness of when we came there and I just had a collar on. That gives me m

March 22, 2019 – The Never Ending Story finally comes to an End

The vehicle my humans bought in Canada back in January is still not registered here in Nevada. It is imported after a lot of paper work but not registered yet. Last time my humans and I went to the DMV we were told there was one more paper they needed. So my mistress talked to the responsible person from the dealership yesterday and believe it or not, that paper arrived this morning with a courier service. Less than 24 hours from Canada to Nevada – my mistress thought that was amazing. You might be able to guess where we went today. Yes, you are completely right, we went to the DMV again. But this time was different, this time we had a pass and we were able to just walk through without standing in line. Don’t be mistaken; it still took about two hours to get everything done. Luckily that nice lady we had been to before was our agent again, Christine was her name. My mistress had to sign a lot of papers and to pay money for taxes, title and registration. This is so complicated, why doe

March 19, 2019 – Sightseeing on the strip (part 2)

Image
Before we went to the strip to do some sightseeing in our temporary hometown my humans went to the German Bakery in Henderson. My humans left me in the car while they went in there. Luckily our car has a feature where you can have the air condition running while the car is locked from the outside. This way I can stay in the car without getting hot. My humans were very happy when they came back into the car. They found some German bread, which they liked very much. Last time my humans and I went sightseeing on the strip we walked from Treasure Island Hotel to Circus Circus. This time my humans decided to walk from Planet Hollywood towards Mandala Bay. We had to walk all the way through Planet Hollywood to get to the strip. There are so many people in these casinos and all these lights and sounds. When you are in there you loose lack of time, don’t know if it is dark outside or sunshine. In Planet Hollywood on the floor where all the shops are, the ceiling is painted like a sky. It l

Another day, another chance. My mistress contacted the officer at customs at Las Vegas airport today to get the missing paper for registering the car. She was told that she could come by and get the paper. So my humans went to the custom office at the airport again and the officer did not understand why the DMV would need the paper but gave it to my mistress anyways. My humans drove to the DMV right after leaving the airport. The line was not as long as last time but never the less it took more than one hour to get to the information desk. We were fine to go inside and wait to go to an agent. The agent looked at all the papers and – guess what he said? Yes, you are right, he said there is another paper missing!!!! My mistress got that missing paper as an email while waiting at customs. She emailed it to the agent and he printed it. The agent took all the papers to his supervisor and came back to us to tell us that the paper had to be signed by the dealership where my humans purchased

March 9, 2019 – Never ending story

Importing a car from Canada to Nevada seems to be very difficult. My mistress has tried to do that since we arrived in Nevada on February 8th. DMV, that office where you register your car, gave my humans a list of papers they would need to import and register the car. After more than 30 days my mistress finally had all the papers to get the car imported. Getting a simple letter from Jeep that states the vehicle meets the standards for EPA & DOT standards was very complicated but they did not understand that my humans are neither Canadian nor US citizens. Please don’t ask me what EPA & DOT is. I do not understand all that stuff. Papers, basically a piece of wood with some plant juice on it can’t be that important. Unfortunately they seem to be that important. At least important enough to make endless phone calls, write lots of emails and stay in line for hours at the DMV. After my humans went to customs at the airport in Las Vegas yesterday, where they picked up the import pap

March 7, 2019 – Showing my new harness

After it rained yesterday it was a beautiful day again today. The sun was shining and it was about 20 °C / 68F. My humans decided to take me to the dog part today for me to run and play with other dogs. I was very excited and couldn’t wait to get there. When we arrived there were already a couple of dogs playing. Today even the big area with the grass area was open. First area we went to I played with a German Shepherd and a Husky. This was not the grassy area I wanted to go to so I pretended to be bored by the other dogs and stayed close to the fence to the preferred area. Luckily my humans learned how to read my body language and took me to the grassy area. At the grassy area, a huge area, were a couple more dogs. One was an Irish Wolfhound called Aoife, which is Eva in Irish. She is a beautiful and gentle dog and we played a little bit. Another dog, a black puppy came to us as well as another Husky. We all had a lot of fun. A short while later two more dogs came into that area,

March 1, 2019 – Sightseeing in Las Vegas

A couple of days ago my humans decided to go out for dinner. To all my Canadian friends – just so you know, dinner is the equivalent for supper. My humans love Persian cuisine and they haven’t been to a Persian restaurant for a couple of years now. Of course my mistress cooks Persian recipes but it’s hard to get the spices she needs for that and traveling makes it impossible to take them with you. Luckily my humans found a good Persian restaurant called Hafez. They loved the food and I tell you, it smelled very delicious. If you ever look for a good Persian Restaurant in Las Vegas visit Hafez (www.hafezpserianrestaurant.com). They were very friendly and I got some ice cubes. You must know I do not like warm water, it needs to be cold. Therefore I prefer ice cubes as they are very cold and it is fun to chew them. Today my humans decided it’s about time to do some sightseeing in Las Vegas. The last times we have been to Nevada my humans did not do much sightseeing in Las Vegas. We’ve
