Traveling The World with my humans

June 10, 2017 – Vancouver Today we slept in, packed and left the motel. We walked to the bus station. We did not know that we need coins to pay for the bus and the bus driver was very friendly and took us anyway. In the bus were more people but they all looked Asian. We went to a balloon shop to purchase some balloons at JC Balloon Studio. They were very friendly and even offered me some water. We walked a little further and took a seat in the Pallet Coffee Kingsway where my humans had a coffee and a snack. My master even went to the hair salon to get a new haircut, as his hair was really long. Rosy’s Hair Beauty Design did a great job and he looks great now! I took a nap while my humans sat in the café. They looked for a place to stay for the night. Unfortunately all couches offered on “couchsurfing.com” were gone and they decided to go to a campsite. Seattle, WA to Vancouver, BC I completely forgot to tell you about my food last night. Do you remember, I told you about the breakfast my humans had. Can you imagine, I got the left overs. That was so yummy. I might get used to this. This morning we had to get up very, very early as my humans had to return the car. It was only 6 am. But first we went to the harbor again to check out the ferries. My mistress went to ask somebody to find out if we could take the ferry to Canada. I’ve never been on a ferry or a ship and I wasn’t sure if I would like this. My mistress said she would be seasick and would have to take a pill for the trip. When she came back she said we could not take the ferry, as we would not get a stamp in the passport that shows that we left the USA. Somehow this was important for them, they said we could not go back without the stamp. I do not understand what they mean by that but I was glad I did not have to go on the ferry, whatever this is. Ontario, OR to Seattle, WA Obviously we are not in Seattle yet as we go back into the car. This time my humans had breakfast at a Wingers Roadhouse Grill before we left. I had to stay in the car. As it was early in the morning this was fine for me. I tell you, my humans must have had something really good for breakfast. They brought the left overs to the car and I could smell it. Eggs, hash browns, pancake and waffle with syrup. I get hungry just by thinking of it. After my people had breakfast we went back on the road and they said we would be in Seattle this afternoon. While driving I saw something strange. There was a house on the street. Well, not on the street really but on a truck. That’s like a snail transporting its house around. Isn’t that weird - a house on a truck. Can’t they just build another house where they need it? These mountains were really high, I could feel it as my ears felt strange. Ely, NV to Ontario, OR … just to get up early again. Back in the car without breakfast for my humans. While we were driving in the dark last night the landscape changed. No more desert, but green grass and trees. I haven’t seen that for a while not to mention that my feet haven’t touched green grass in 6 months. We drove for a while until we stopped so my humans could have breakfast. I had to stay in the car but I could see them through the windows. It didn’t take long but they talked to a couple of other people and laughed. They brought me pancakes, you remember - one of my favorites. But I was still to excited about all that and couldn’t eat a bite. And to be honest, they weren’t as good as the ones we eat at home or in Pahrump. It’s a long way to Seattle, WA Oh no, my humans start to pack suitcases again and they take my cage to the patio and clean it. What does that mean now? Airplane? Noooo, I don’t like this idea. My mistress is thoughtful, excited and busy. Mmmh, I need to find out what’s going on. They talk about a rental car. I do know what a car is but what is rental? Ok, I found out that they plan to travel to Canada by renting a car to go to Seattle first, which they say is close to the border of Canada. There are a lot of animals around in Pahrump. In the night you could hear the coyotes hunting and sometimes they came close to the house. There are two kinds of rabbits, the small ones and the Jack Rabbits. The Jack Rabbits are almost as big as a cat. I’ve never seen one of those in the backyard but lots of the smaller ones.
