June 18, 2018 - Bella, she is so pretty!

This morning we woke up from all these trucks that were leaving. My humans didn't sleep well as they were worried about the repair of the van.
I don’t care - when I'm tired I sleep nothing in this world can be as important as sleeping, food and being near my mistress.

First thing in the morning my master went to these people that ran the truck stop and asked for a good and trustworthy garage. It turned out that there was one just up the street. It was too early to call or go there so my humans had breakfast first. One good thing about traveling with my humans is that I get some of their food which I normally don't get. They had muffins for breakfast and my mistress couldn't finish her lemon muffin so I got what she couldn't eat. Mmmmh that was very yummie!

After breakfast my master walked to that garage and he came back in a car with someone. That someone was Jim from Red Hills Truck and Auto Repair. Hep had a look at the car and it turned out that a screw that holds the alternator was broken. I don't have a clue what that means but as long as my humans and Jim know and we can go to Canada I’m fine with this.
Jim went off to get some transmission fluid so my humans could drive the van to his garage. That doesn't sound yummie, I think I don't want to taste this.

By the way what does a car need a name for? They call the van Lupoloon Mobil. Is that crazy?

Where was I, ah yes,Jim. Jim came with a truck and in the back of the truck was a dog. She was a Labrador, beautiful eyes and not too skinny.

After Jim returned my humans followed him to the garage and they looked at the van again. Jim ordered some parts for it and started working. After a while my mistress got me out of the van and she let me run free. This was the first time since we left Pahrump that I could run free. First I had to set marks everywhere and scare some birds away. And there she was - Bella, the Labrador.
I said hello to her in dog language. This means I sniff her behind. To you humans that might not be nice but this is how we dogs are.
After that I asked her to play but she was to shy. So I started rolling in the gras. My paws haven't felt Gras for a long time. At Tim’ s house was snow and in Pahrump was desert. That felt so good. I kept rolling for quite a while. Meanwhile my mistress pet Bella and Bella liked it a lot. So I tried again to play with Bella and this time she responded, still very shy, but she responded.
That went one for a while until my mistress took me back to the van. She gave Bella a treat. I didn't want one, I do want Bella to get the impressions I am eating unhealthy things.
I also met Roy. He broke down with his RV and was towed to Jim’s garage but Jim couldn't find what was wrong with the RV. Roy lives in his RV.
I was very sad that I had to leave Bella when the repair was done but I was also happy that we were on the road again. Thank you Jim for your help!

We left Richfield and headed towards Denver. We had to drive uphill for a long time but Lupoloon Mobil was fine with that just before we were all the way up the hill it drove slower. I admit we were very high, 2468 m / 8097 ft.
My humans stopped at a scenic view and this was really beautiful. My mistress was in tears because of the beauty of the landscape. She was so thankful to be able to see all that.
This is something strange what humans do. Sometimes water runs out of their eyes, salty water. I haven't figured out exactly yet why they do this but I know sometimes it happens when they are really sad and sometimes it happens when they are really happy. Strange thing!

We kept on driving and I heared a lot of “Oh” and “Ah” and “look at that, isn't that beautiful?”.
After a break in Green River we went on to Grand Junction where my humans went to KOA camping round. They said we would stay there for the night as they do need a shower. This was a very nice place. As the van is so big we got a place where all the RVs are. There was a fireplace and a table with benches and even some grass. My humans went in the pool and prepared dinner. I would have preferred to have some of their food but I wasn't hungry as my thoughts were with Bella who I probably will never meet again. Sigh.
We went to bed early and I was very tired.
