June 20, 2017 Glacier National Park - Lake Louise - Regina/Saskatchewan

The next morning we got up very early. We had to be in Regina/Saskatchewan in the evening where we would pick up Dale. Dale will be in the canoe with Brook. It was still foggy outside. You can see it on the pictures.
Who would have ever thought I would sleep in a tent in the Rocky Mountains? Isn’t this amazing?

First Brooke wanted to show us a waterfall in the Glacier National Park but unfortunately the road was closed. Instead we could see the entrance and exit of the spiral train track. The train goes into a tunnel in the mountains and it is in a spiral, so if the train is very long you could see the beginning and the end outside of the tunnel while the rest of the train is in the tunnel.

After that we went to Lake Louise. Humans must eat several times a day. I would like to do so too but I only get food once a day.
At Lake Louise my humans and Brooke had breakfast, no that’s not correct. They purchased their breakfast, took it back to the car and we went a little further to the Lake. This smelled so good - buns with egg and bacon.
There were a lot of people at Lake Louise. I have to admit it was beautiful there. The humans had breakfast with a view. You need to look at the pictures; it really is beautiful there. The only thing I did not like was all these people everywhere.

The humans stayed for a while and enjoyed that view before we went back to the car to drive another 1000 km.

We went from Lake Louise/Alberta to Banff and passed Calgary where we passed the ski-jump from the Olympic Winter Games in 1988. After that we went towards Gleichen, Brooks and Medicine Hat. Sitting Bull, on leader of the Lakota was there a couple of years after Little Big Horn where the Indians fought against the American Army. In Medicine Hat we saw the biggest Tipi in the world. A Tipi is a tent where the Indians lived in but it does not look like our tent.

Shortly after Medicine Hat we came to Saskatchewan and went on through Swift Current, Moose Jaw and into Regina.

We went through the badlands, there is not much there. In Chaplin they get salt from the lakes. You could see all the salt in the lakes.

There were a lot of animals again: bears, coyotes and my mistress might have killed a ground squirrel. That stupid little thing was standing in the middle of the street and we hope it stayed there and survived.

We arrived late at Dale’s house. He had ordered pizza before we came, Brooke told him at what time we will arrive. Dale is very friendly and a quiet, calm person. I like him. My humans had a nice room to sleep in and I enjoyed not sleeping in a tent. My humans were tired and went to bed soon after they had pizza.
